INPEACE Named one of the Best Places to Work in Hawai'i

 INPEACE was recently named as one of the 2010 Best Places to Work in Hawai‘i. The list of “Best Places to Work” is sponsored by ProService Hawai‘i and published annually by Hawai‘i Business magazine. As in previous years, the company data are gathered and analyzed by an independent research organization, the Best Companies Group, which conducts similar research in states throughout the nation.

INPEACE is committed to improving the quality of life for Native Hawaiians through community partnerships that provide educational opportunities and promote self-sufficiency.  This same philosophy is extended to their dedicated employees for without them, none of these programs would be possible.

“Our employees are the cornerstone of what makes us a strong provider of programs and services benefiting the Native Hawaiian community throughout our state,” shares Dr. Kanoelani Nāone, INPEACE’s Chief Executive Officer.

The list of “Best Places to Work” survey and awards program is designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Hawai‘i, benefiting the state’s economy, its workforce and businesses. The Best Places to Work in Hawai‘i list is made up of a total of 60 companies, split into three groups: 25 small- companies (25-49 employees), 18 medium companies (50-149 employees) and 17 large companies (150 or more employees).   INPEACE has been named one of the Best Places to Work in Hawai‘i in the medium category.

To be considered for participation, companies had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements:

  • Have a facility in the state of Hawai‘i;
  • Have a minimum of 25 employees working in Hawai‘i;
  • Must be in business for a minimum of 1 year.

Companies from across the state entered the two-part survey process to determine the Best Places to Work in Hawai‘i. The first part consisted of evaluating each participating company's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration, survey and analysis process and determined the final rankings.
