 Rc 2008 cropped

Wai`anae Coast residents participated in Ka Lama Education Academy Refresher Courses 2008 in Math and English at Leeward Community College-Wai`anae Campus during the summer from the end of May through the middle of August.  Many gained enough confidence in their skills and abilities to continue on as college students at Leeward during the Fall semester and several others will be enrolling in Spring.  Ka Lama Community Counselors are currently seeking and working with community residents that are interested in applying for Spring 2009 to start or re-enter college.  Interested residents can call the Ka Lama Office for an appointment to start going through the applications process.  A current TB clearance and MMR (Measles, Mumps & Rubella) 2 shot immunization record is required.
