Marci Wai‘ale‘ale Sarsona

Marci Wai‘ale‘ale Sarsona is the Kahu (director) of Ke Kula o Samuel M. Kamakau, a Hawaiian language immersion Laboratory Public Charter School in Kāne‘ohe.   
 
Ms. Sarsona is the former CEO of INPEACE. It is there she oversaw nearly sixty staff members across the state and an annual budget of over $3 million dollars.  She has developed and implemented early education programs in several Native Hawaiian communities in Hawai‘i. Ms. Sarsona carries a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s in Business Administration.

In 2005, she was named as one of the Pacific Business News’ 40 under forty.  She is also a 2006 alumni of Mayor Mufi Hannaman’s Pacific Century Fellows Program. Based on the White House Fellows Program, the objective of the Pacific Century Fellows Program is to develop leaders with a greater awareness and sensitivity to the people and institutions of Hawai‘i.  

Ms. Sarsona’s passions are education, native Hawaiian culture and ‘ohana.  Ms. Sarsona is married and has two children Wai’ale’ale and J.D.
