Larrilynn Holu Tamashiro
President
Larrilynn Holu Tamashiro is the President of the INPEACE board. Born and raised in Wai’anae, she came to INPEACE eleven years ago through the Ka Lama Education Academy. Ms. Tamashiro is one of the first graduates of the Ka Lama Education Academy – Cohort One. She is one of many success stories within INPEACE.
In 1998, Ms. Tamashiro received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and is now serving her own community as a teacher at Ka Waihona o ka Na'auao Public Charter School. She worked as the Lead Coordinator for the education academy for nearly ten years and was influential in recruiting new students into the program.
Her leadership, personal connections within the community, as well as her understanding of the issues facing native Hawaiians has been instrumental in advancing the mission of INPEACE. |
